Caring for Marriage

Taking action doesn’t mean just doing what we have always done from habit, but changing our habits. When Jesus spoke of bearing fruit He said, he spoke of bearing fruit worthy of repentance.” The third “day” is one of repentance (Secrets of Heaven 9, 29). A good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. If we are doing things that hurt our partner, we need to eliminate them from our lives. The tree that bears bad fruit needs to be chopped down (Matthew 7:19) and interests that aren’t fruitful need to be pruned out of our lives. “Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit” (John 15:2).
